Soooo....International Card Making Day is October 5th! We know there are a lot of you out there that are card makers. We have two announcements for you!!
The first....... This is something near and dear to my heart. My Father is a Veteran of the US army. He died two years ago due to the effects of a war he was drafted to over 50 years ago. My dad had a love and compassion towards people, and he always reminded us that everyone has a story, and we should never assume anything about anyone. He never let someone pass by without speaking to them. He was THAT guy - ya know - the one wanting to chit chat with a perfect stranger and walking away with a new friend. He had a joy and zest for life that was always full of hope. Nothing was insurmountable. To honor my father and his passion - we are starting an initiative that ultimately leaves no one behind.
To start with though - we want you to mail your excess cards to us and we will distribute to Veterans, their family and caregivers. The initiative is called: " Take Note..... " We are accepting any and all themes of cards. We promise to find the perfect recipient for your precious work.
